Self discovery for me has entailed learning about the determination of my mind, and the ability I have to take risks. When I do both of these things, I am able to allow room for symbolism that illuminates prosperous communication in my life. Communication is the core of creativity, and every day we are learning new 'languages' of expression. The creative language I decided to pursue is fashion design.
My name is Cailee Lola Grayhorse-Pupecki and I am an artist and athlete who currently attends the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. I am pursuing a bachelors degree in fine arts in fashion design, and I play collegiate softball. I am also a professional model who has worked for a spectrum of brands including Dior, Vogue, Nike, Ugg, and Gap.
In sports, and artistic movement you cannot be tense. When you are tense, failure strikes the body painfully. Failure should always be expected, so trying to be perfect is like trying to not be yourself. Everyday I challenge myself to envision how fashion design can allow bodies to be less tense, more confident and increasingly fluid in multitudes of environments. Giving somebody new clothes can give the gift of a brand-new perception. Garments can bless people with encouragement and bravery because it allows them to be the most transparent and truthful versions of themselves. My point of view is that if the mind maintains a strength unique to itself, the rest of the body's expression will follow. When I'm doing what I love, I feel a fulfillment of prophecy, intensity, freedom, confidence, creativity, outwardness, serenity, and emotional bliss.
